SLEEPYCO – RETURNS, EXCHANGES & 100-NIGHT COMFORT GUARANTEE

SleepyCo operates in accordance with New Zealand consumer law and maintains strict hygiene standards for all returned bedding products.

1. 100-Night Comfort Guarantee

Every SleepyCo mattress includes our 100-Night Comfort Guarantee.

We understand that it can take time for your body to adjust to a new mattress. If, after sleeping on your mattress for a minimum of 30 nights, you feel the comfort isn't right, you may exchange it once for our alternative comfort option within 100 nights of delivery.

Our Comfort Guarantee is designed to help you find your preferred comfort level and does not provide refunds for comfort preference or change of mind.

2. Comfort Exchange

Customers are eligible for one comfort exchange per original mattress purchase.

To qualify:

  • The request must be made between 30 and 100 nights after delivery.
  • A flat $80 Comfort Exchange Fee applies.
  • Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for the return transport of their original mattress.
  • The replacement mattress will be dispatched once the original mattress has been received, inspected and approved.
  • Exchanged mattresses are not eligible for further exchanges or the 100-Night Comfort Guarantee.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Comfort Exchange, your mattress must:

  • Be in near-new, showroom-quality condition.
  • Be completely free from stains, marks, odours, moisture and damage.
  • Have been used with a waterproof mattress protector at all times.
  • Be free from smoke, pets, excessive lint and general hygiene concerns.
  • Pass both our photo inspection and final physical inspection.
  • Be returned in the original mattress bag.
  • Be transported flat in a suitable vehicle (not rolled, folded, bent or compressed).

Failure to meet these requirements may result in the exchange being declined.

4. Comfort Exchange Fee

A flat $80 Comfort Exchange Fee applies to all approved comfort exchanges.

This fee helps cover inspection, hygiene cleaning, administration, processing and preparation of your replacement mattress.

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying the return transport of their original mattress to SleepyCo.

5. Situations Where a Comfort Exchange Cannot Be Approved

A Comfort Exchange cannot be approved if:

  • The mattress has stains, marks, odours or damage.
  • A waterproof mattress protector was not used.
  • The mattress shows excessive wear or misuse.
  • The mattress was damaged during transport.
  • The request is made before 30 nights or after 100 nights.
  • The mattress has already been exchanged previously.
  • The mattress fails our inspection.
  • Approval was not obtained before returning the mattress.

6. Manufacturing Faults

This Comfort Guarantee applies only to comfort preference.

If your mattress has a manufacturing fault or does not meet the guarantees provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, your rights under New Zealand consumer law remain unaffected.

7. Requesting a Comfort Exchange

Please email admin@sleepyco.co.nz with:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Delivery address
  • Reason for requesting an exchange
  • Confirmation that a waterproof mattress protector was used
  • Confirmation that the original mattress bag is available
  • Photos of the mattress (top, bottom, sides, corners and close-up fabric surface)

We aim to review all requests within 3–7 business days.
