Cancellation policy

SLEEPYCO – PURCHASE OPTIONS CANCELLATION POLICY

This policy explains how order cancellations work when purchasing from SleepyCo.

1. Cancelling an Order Before It Is Dispatched

You may request to cancel your order before it has been dispatched.

To request a cancellation, please email admin@sleepyco.co.nz with:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Date of purchase

  • Reason for cancellation

If the order has not yet been shipped, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.

2. Cancelling an Order After It Has Been Dispatched

Once your order has been dispatched or collected by a courier:

  • It cannot be cancelled

  • It will fall under our Returns & Refunds Policy

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable (if applicable)

You must wait for the product to arrive and then follow our standard return process.

3. Cancelling a Mattress Purchase With Purchase Options (Laybuy, Afterpay, Zip, etc.)

If you purchased through a third-party provider (e.g., Afterpay, Laybuy, Zip):

  • The cancellation request must still come through SleepyCo first

  • SleepyCo will process the cancellation or refund (if eligible)

  • Your payment provider will update your payment schedule after we confirm the cancellation

  • Processing times depend on the payment provider, not SleepyCo

  • Any fees or charges applied by the finance provider are outside SleepyCo’s control

4. Orders Preparing for Dispatch

If the order is already being:

  • Picked

  • Packed

  • Wrapped

  • Allocated to courier pickup

  • Loaded for delivery

…it is considered processed and may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

In these situations, you may still request cancellation, but SleepyCo reserves the right to:

  • Decline the cancellation, or

  • Deduct a processing and handling fee before refunding (typically $20–$40 depending on the item)

 

5. Cancellation Due to Wrong Address / Failed Delivery

If you provide an incorrect delivery address or fail to receive the delivery:

  • The order cannot be cancelled once dispatched

  • You will need to follow the returns process

  • Redelivery fees may apply

  • Courier fees are not refundable

6. SleepyCo Right to Cancel

SleepyCo reserves the right to cancel any order if:

  • The product is out of stock

  • Fraudulent activity is suspected

  • The address lies outside our delivery service area

  • There is an error in pricing or product information

  • Payment fails or is disputed

If SleepyCo cancels your order, a full refund will be issued immediately.
